HousingFirst Marlborough Street Commended

Baldasso Cortese are delighted to announce that our HousingFirst Marlborough Street project has received a Commendation from the City of Port Phillip Design and Development Awards 2024.

The City of Port Phillip's Design and Development Awards celebrate excellence in architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture within the City of Port Phillip. The awards aim to recognize innovative designs that contribute to the city's vibrancy, sustainability, and community well-being. They highlight projects that demonstrate outstanding design, creativity, and a positive impact on the community.

At an award ceremony held at St Kilda Town Hall, the project received the Commendation in the ‘Jury’s award for excellence in cultural and community benefit’ for the project’s successful partnership with street art network Juddy Roller who appointed the talented artist Drez to design and paint a striking mural along Dianella Lane. This high-impact artwork draws attention to the social housing typology. It celebrates the residential development and adds vibrancy through its distinctive and colourful trickery of perspective.
