Kardinia International College is one of Geelong’s more prominent schools with almost 2,000 students across two campuses. The College has a combination of buildings that date back from 1859 through to 2017 and prides themselves on the ability in providing both staff and students with the most up to date facilities to match its academic accomplishments. Since 2017, the College has engaged Baldasso Cortese to assist in developing the College’s 15 year master plan, providing the College with the most confidence that there is a future plan in place with respect to a tailored approach to building design, infrastructure enhancement, improvement to campus security, a more user friendly concept to way finding, and a focus on sustainability to the highest current standards.
From heritage buildings to modern ones, classrooms to gymnasiums, Baldasso Cortese have assisted with numerous projects ensuring that each building is protected with regard to prolonging their appearance and functionality.
The College, over the years, have utilised the experience of Baldasso Cortese, on a variety of Capital projects from the installation of a telescopic retractable seating system, to the replacement of all combustible cladding, redesigning of internal ceilings, the redevelopment of a car park to include a drop off/pick up space to ensure a uniform one directional approach towards enhancing the use of the this space during the peak times for the College and, ensuring that each project is completed to the highest standard.
