Heathdale’s Implementation Plan (essentially a highly detailed Master Plan) provided an opportunity to think long term, and to align the school’s vision, goals, and objectives with a detailed plan for their built form.
This work provides the school with a clear and well-founded base for its future built environment direction. The Implementation Plan is a detailed framework for campus development for the next 20+ years.
The Implementation Plan is characterised by (i) significant growth from 1400 to 2000 students, (ii) a new primary school developed on the west side of the site which enables the staged upgrade of the secondary school facilities, and (iii) the urban design, structured around an activated boulevard pedestrian axis, (iv) the staging and decanting strategy were complex, and (v) there was a significant set of traffic solutions around buses, drop off and car parks.
Since the completion of the Implementation Plan in 2019, Baldasso Cortese have successfully delivered the 1st stage (prep building) of their new building projects and stage 2 (junior years) is currently under construction.
Completion: 2019
