The building is conceived in two parts - a sculpted concrete base that continues the form and scale of existing buildings fronting the creek and a folded canopy that sails over a new roof terrace and garden. This dynamic form creates a strong visual connection between the College and the public domain. The new multi-level facility accommodates classrooms, art studios, a reception, administration, student careers, and counseling services.
The incorporated passive solar design and water saving features are used as an educational demonstration tool for students. The building has created a positive outcome for the College through its inspiring design which facilitates close staff-student connections.
