Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital involved the expansion and refurbishment of this Stage 1 facility, including the extension of the Day Surgery with additional operating rooms and recovery beds, the extension of the mental health ward with an additional 22 Bedrooms, as well as Lounge / Dining Areas, Courtyards and Support Spaces.

There was also an extension of the Outpatient Day Program Area to include additional group rooms and interview rooms. The mental health ward consists of separate clusters of bedrooms that cater to Youth and Alcohol and Drug Dependence.

This project required close collaboration with the Client during Construction in order to retain operations of the existing facility while construction works occurred. Stringent OH&S measures were in place to prevent any issues with existing Clients of the Mental Health ward.

The design of the facility balances the regulatory needs with a warm and welcoming environment for clients and staff. The scale and material selection provides identity, yet is robust and low maintenance.
